A string quartet of Hope College students, the Accidental String Quartet, will perform on Saturday, April 14, at 8 p.m. in the John and Dede Howard Recital Hall of the Jack H. Miller Center of Musical Arts.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The quartet will perform “String Quartet Op. 33 No. 3, (The Bird),” by Franz Joseph Haydn, and “String Quintet in C Major (D. 956, Op. posth. 163),” by Franz Schubert.

The Accidental String Quartet consists of four Hope students:  violinist Caleb Stuckey, violinist Sarah Zieschang, violist Abigail Finnegan and cellist Adam Krahn, cello. The quartet will be accompanied by guest cellist Ethan Heyboer, who is also a Hope student.

Mihai Craioveanu, a professor of violin in the Department of Music at Hope, directs the Accidental String Quartet.

The Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts is located at 221 Columbia Ave., between Ninth and 10th streets.
