The fall Student Dance Showcase concerts at Hope College will take place on Friday, Nov. 30, in room 207 of the Dow Center and on Saturday, Dec. 1, in the Knickerbocker Theatre.

The performances will be at 6 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. both nights.  The public is invited, and admission is free.

The concerts will include ballet, contemporary, hip hop and dance theatre, with different pieces and presenters each day. A total of 22 dances will be presented by multiple students from the Department of Dance and across campus, including students in Steven Iannacone’s Composition I class, Angela Yetzke’s Composition II class and the college’s Hip Hop Anonymous club.

Lighting for the Knickerbocker Theatre works will be designed by students in Erik Alberg’s Intro to Dance Production II class. Yetzke and guest faculty member Sharon Wong are serving as advisers, mentors and producers of the Student Dance Showcase.

The Dow Center is located at 168 E. 13th St., on the corner of 13th Street and Columbia Avenue.  The Knickerbocker Theater is located at 86 E. Eighth St., between College and Columbia avenues.
