Eighteen Hope College teams claimed the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Team GPA Award for the 2023-24 school year.
The MIAA Team GPA Award has been presented to conference athletic teams that achieve a 3.300 or better GPA for an academic year since 1998-99. Grade-point averages are calculated at the end of the academic year.
The women’s cross country team, led by head coach Mark Northuis, recorded Hope’s top GPA of 3.768. The Flying Dutch have received the award every year.
The women’s basketball team, led by head coach Brian Morehouse, posted a 3.713 GPA.
The women’s indoor track and field team, led by head coach Kevin Cole, finished with a 3.711 GPA.
The women’s outdoor track and field team, led by head coach Kevin Cole, earned a 3.710 GPA.
The women’s soccer team, led by head coach Leigh Sears, recorded a 3.661 GPA.
The women’s tennis team, led by head coach Austin Hunt, posted a 3.653 GPA.
The women’s golf team, led by head coach Greg Stafford, finished with a 3.642 GPA.
The men’s tennis team, led by head coach Austin Hunt, earned a 3.635 GPA.
The softball team, led by head coach Michelle Brander-Metiva, recorded a 3.597 GPA.
The women’s lacrosse team, led by head coach Keagan Pontious, posted with a 3.540 GPA.
The men’s lacrosse team, led by head coach Michael Schanhals, finished with a 3.531 GPA.
The women’s swimming and diving team, led by head coach Jake Taber, earned a 3.470 GPA.
The men’s cross country team, led by head coach Mark Northuis, recorded a 3.424 GPA.
The volleyball team, led by head coach Becky Schmidt, posted a 3.410 GPA.
The men’s indoor track and field team, led by head coach Kevin Cole, finished with a 3.407 GPA.
The men’s outdoor track and field team, led by head coach Kevin Cole, earned a 3.406 GPA.
The men’s golf team, led by head coach Scott Lokers, recorded a 3.390 GPA.
The men's soccer team, led by head coach David Blahnik, posted a 3.348 GPA.
