Dr. Thomas Bultman, professor emeritus of biology at Hope College, has received a Fulbright-University of Turku Scholar Award to conduct research in Finland that he hopes will one day enhance food security around the world.

This year’s Women’s History Month Lecture at Hope College will present a panel discussion with four female members of the college’s staff and faculty on Tuesday, March 5, at 4 p.m. in the Maas Center auditorium.

Dr. Naomi J. Halas of Rice University will focus on nanotechnology and its social impact through two lectures while at Hope College on Thursday and Friday, Feb. 15-16, through the college’s James and Jeanette Neckers Lectureship in Chemistry.

Academics Chemistry Professor Meagan Elinski Receives Cottrell Scholar Award
Dr. Meagan Elinski, assistant professor of chemistry at Hope College, is one of only 19 early-career scientists in astronomy, chemistry or physics nationwide to receive a 2024 Cottrell Scholar Award from Research Corporation for Science Advancement.
