Are We There Yet?

april 17–may 20, 2026
Senior Art Exhibition
Are We There Yet? captures the anticipation and curiosity reflected in the artistic endeavors of our graduating studio art, art education and art history majors. The exhibition features a variety of media, including sculpture, photography, ceramics, installation, textiles and painting. Such diversity represents the unique interests of each artist, yet they coalesce around playful, nostalgic and experimental themes.
A central thread connecting the artists’ work is an exploration of the self. Some works draw directly from childhood memories, identity or familial heritage, while other lean into metaphysical questions regarding the subconscious, the rote cycle of daily life or mythic interpretations of one's being.
Are We There Yet? dwells in the space of becoming, where impatience shapes wonder and the path ahead provides promise rather than finality. Together, this exhibition reflects the artists’ sustained efforts over the past academic year and embodies their anxieties and anticipation for what comes next.
