Van Zoeren Hall
Van Zoeren Hall is now an academic building, but it used to be Hope College’s library. In 1989, it was renovated to provide classrooms and faculty offices for the departments of economics and business administration, education, sociology and social work, as well as the Academic Success Center. Later into the 1989–90 school year, links were built to connect Van Zoeren Hall with both VanderWerf Hall and Van Wylen Library.
The Academic Success Center, located on the second floor, provides students with group and individual opportunities to become successful, active learners. Students may request a tutor for a course or attend group help sessions, all free of charge.
Van Zoeren Hall was a gift from alumnus Dr. G. John Van Zoeren.
