Julie Kelsheimer
Adjunct Faculty/Applied Music Lessons
Julie Tabash Kelsheimer is a graduate of Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music (BMus and MMus). Notably, Julie has been seen as Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Bettina (The Beethoven Project), Mabel (Pirates of Penzance), Barbarina (Le nozze di Figaro), Liesl (The Sound of Music), Despina (Cosí fan tutte), Anne Egerman (A Little Night Music), Rosasharn (The Grapes of Wrath), Annina (La traviata), Tour Guide and a Keely Family Singer (Elmer Gantry), and The Plaintiff (Trial by Jury). Julie has performed with companies and festivals both in the United States and abroad, including Central City Opera, The Florentine Opera, Union Avenue Opera, Pine Mountain Music Festival, Opera Theatre of the Rockies, Opera Lucca, and others.
In addition to teaching at Hope College, Julie has also served as an associate adjunct professor of voice at Webster University and Saint Louis University and conducts her own private vocal studio. Every summer, Julie serves as a voice instructor and masterclass presenter at Northwestern University’s Intensive Vocal Performance Seminar.
