David Lancashire
Adjunct FacultyGrand Rapids native Professor David Lancashire has been teaching Media Production
I at Hope
since 2016. He began his television career in Huntington, West Virginia, as on-air
host and story
producer for the nationally syndicated television program PM Magazine. Professor Lancashire
then moved to Los Angeles, where he worked 30 years for The Walt Disney Company. As
global
production director he oversaw the production of television commercials for all of
the Disney
theme parks around the world.
Professor Lancashire enjoys sharing his extensive knowledge of the production process
with
students and introducing them to industry professionals, with the hope that it will
help to
inspire students in their own career paths. Media Production 1 includes hands-on
comprehensive learning, including camera work, lighting and sound technique and Adobe
Premiere editing.

As a highly accomplished global production leader, Professor Lancashire has decades
of
experience to share with students, guiding them from creative vision to executing
effective
advertising and digital content production.
