Michael Match is currently the director of music at First Congregational Church, UCC in Muskegon, Michigan, as well as a member of the voice faculty at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.

He has received awards from the National Association of Teachers of Singing (NATS) and the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions.

Michael completed his doctoral and master’s degrees from the renowned Jacobs School of Music at Indiana University (Bloomington) and has been a presenter for the American Guild of Organists (AGO), the American Choral Director’s Association (ADCA) and the National Association of Pastoral musicians (NPM).

He is the current dean of the Muskegon-Lakeshore Chapter of the AGO, and a former member of the two-time GRAMMY-winning ensemble Chanticleer, appearing with the group on world stages such as the Kennedy Center, Vienna’s Musikverein, the Prague State Opera House and NBC’s TODAY show. He can be heard on Chanticleer’s 2008 CD/DVD Mission Road, on the Warner Classics label, as well as the DVD documentary The Singing Life, narrated by Fredericka von Stade.
