Amelia joined Hope College in the Fall of 2023 and teaches basic courses in painting and drawing. Her research interests include feminist understandings of family, space, and domesticity. Her work is in the South Bend Museum of Art's permanent collection.


She specializes in painting and drawing. Amelia has exhibited nationally in Indiana, Illinois, and Virginia and internationally in Galway, Ireland.

  • The Loren Oliver Award in Studio Art, awarded to a senior studio art major who excels in creative productivity and promise, 2019
  • Friends of Art VCCA Internship Award, awarded to a student with a record of achievement in art history, arts management, creative writing, music or studio art. $5,000 funded a summer internship at the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, 2019
  • Grants for Engaged Learning Recipient, awarded two GEL grants to facilitate travel for research and internships in Paris and D.C., 2019
