Jennie Judd Reyes
Adjunct FacultySoprano Jennie Judd Reyes is known for her vocal versatility and artistry, singing repertoire that spans from the Renaissance to the present as a soloist, chamber musician and stage performer. She teaches voice in the Department of Music, which she joined in 2023.
Professor Reyes’ stage credits include the roles of Blonde in “Die Entführung aus dem Serail,” Mabel in “Pirates of Penzance” and Laurette in “Doctor Miracle” with Opera Grand Rapids. She was Frasquita in the Kalamazoo Philharmonia production of “Carmen” and performed as a soloist with the Williamsport Symphony Orchestra and Illinois Valley Symphony.
Her recent performances of early music have included appearances with the Holland Bach Society (“Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland” BWV 61), VoxGR (“Herz under Mund und Tat und Leben” BWV 147), Gaudete Choral Ensemble (Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater”) and Zeeland Civic Chorus (Handel’s “Messiah”).
She greatly enjoys interdisciplinary collaborations and was recently seen as a narrator and soloist alongside Deos Contemporary Ballet in the company’s Ember Series 2024 in Grand Rapids.

Outside the College
Outside of teaching and performing, Professor Judd enjoys beach trips to Tunnel Park on Holland’s north side, experiencing live theater, gospel music, salsa dancing and traveling with her husband, Eric.
