Cathy started at Hope College in November 2004 working part-time with the computer science, engineering, mathematics and physics departments. She started full time in August 2010, adding work in the geology office two days a week. Between the two separate natural and applied sciences offices, she supports approximately 35 faculty and part-time instructors.

Professional Experience

Before coming to Hope, Cathy worked with a credit union, a cabinet supply company, an accounting office and an attorney. This has given her a vast experience of dealing with people and job duties.

Why I Love Hope

Cathy enjoys the 60+ different faculty members that she supports and the different students she meets in each department. She feels that each office has its own personality, so each day is different. She also enjoys the interaction that she has with other departments, offices and employees/friends on Hope’s campus.

Outside the College

Cathy enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren (which is the best), as well as spending time at the beach and knitting baby blankets and large afghan blankets.
