College Sing and a year-end spring festival.
SAC received a first place for its Web site
design; first place in "theme publicity" for 1997's New
Student Orientation program theme, "Take the Next Step";
first place in the "multi-color poster" category for its
promotion for the November, 1997, Las Vegas Night event;
first place in "non-poster publicity," for a trash can
listing SAC events scheduled for the fall of 1997; and
second place in "non-poster publicity," for a magnetic card
listing SAC events scheduled for the spring of 1998.
In addition, former Hope staff member Anne Bakker-
Gras received the NACA "Hall of Fame Award" for her work
with the association and with the college. She was director

this year, when she took a position with Walsworth
Publishing.

universities from Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, western
Pennsylvania and West Virginia. A total of eight Hope
students attended the conference.
