Join Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder and, of course, Snoopy to ponder all of life's important questions: Will the Red Baron fly again? Will Charlie Brown ever be good at baseball? Will Linus ever give up that blanket? Will Sally ever stop giving advice? We can find the answers to these questions, and all of life's truly important questions in the child-like joy and innocence found in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown.
Led by Equity Guest Artist Dana Synder (appearing this season in Tartuffe and The Mystery of Irma Vep) as Charlie Brown, this talented cast will surely invoke many memories that lie dormant in the collective childhood of multiple generations. Our patrons will remember many of the players in this show from their performances in Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat: including Ross Williams as Linus, Brandy McClendon as Lucy, Christine Nelson as Patty, Michael Federico as Snoopy, and Jason Lambert (who played Joseph) as Schroeder.
Returning to HSRT for his seventh summer, Director Fred Tessler is also performing in the capacity of Music Director for GI Jive and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Past HSRT directorial credits include: Meet Me At the Backstreet, Back to Backstreet, and More Musical Magic. Past HSRT credits as Music Director include: Man of La Mancha, Suds, Cinderella, Babes in Arms, and Annie.
Choreography is by Meribeth Kisner, Scenic Design is by Joe Flauto, Lighting Design is by Peter Sargent, and Costume Design is by Elizabeth Flauto.
This nostalgic production opens on July 28, with performances on July 29, August 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, 10, and 12, with a 2:00 p.m. matinee on August 8. Given the limited run of this show, we encourage our patrons to acquire tickets quickly. While at the box office, be sure to reserve tickets for the other great HSRT productions this summer, including Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, some scathing comedy in Tartuffe, a look into the human condition with Three Viewings, and a bit of gothic intrigue and humor in The Mystery of Irma Vep. Tickets are available now. The ticket office is located in the DeWitt Center, on the Hope College Campus at the corner of 12th Street and Columbia Avenue. Prices range from $8-$22 for musicals, and $6-$17 for plays, with discount prices for children 12 and under. Season coupons, ranging from $37-$66, are also available.
