Hope will be represented at both the men's and women's NCAA Division III golf championships.

Senior Eric Wohlfield of Brighton will be heading to the men's nationals for the third time in his career while sophomore Lacey Wicksall of Traverse City will be competing in the women's nationals for the second year in-a-row.

The women's nationals will be held at The Orchards Golf Club on the campus of Mount Holyoke College in South Hadley, Mass. from May 14-17.

The men's tournament will be hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan University at the Firethorn Golf Club in Lincoln, Neb. from May 13-16.

Wohlfield and Wicksall each have the distinction in their collegiate career of having been named the national Division III freshman of the year.

Last fall Wohlfield became just the third player in MIAA history to be league medalist three times. His career average of 74.4 strokes was a league record. At nationals in 1999 as a freshman he qualified as an individual finishing 19th in a field of 120 golfers. The entire Hope team qualified for the 2000 tournament with Wohlfield finishing 65th among 120 players.

Wicksall achieved NCAA All-America designation in 2001 as she finished 15th at the national tournament. As a freshman she was the MIAA medalist and last fall was second to Alma's Courtney Rheinhardt who will also be competing at nationals.
