Eight Hope players have been named to the All-MIAA baseball teams. Two players received first-team recognition while six were named to the second team.
The Flying Dutchmen finished second in the conference standings and posted a school-record 28-6 mark which included a 26-game winning streak.
Junior outfielders Kyle Blackport (Grand Rapids Unity Christian HS) and Mike Van Beek (Hudsonville Unity Christian HS) have been voted to the first team for the second year in-a-row.
Players named to the second team include sophomore catcher Eric MacKenzie (Alpena HS), junior first baseman B.J. Maas (Jenison HS), sophomore second baseman Justin Kribs (Jenison HS), junior third baseman Casey Glass (Hudsonville HS), junior outfielder Kenny Papes (Mason County Central HS) and junior pitcher Matt Widenmeier (Midland HS).
