Three Hope golfers achieved All-MIAA recognition as the Flying Dutch finished second in the season-ending championship tournament and the final seasonal standings of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA).
The two-day, 36-hole tournament at Zollner golf course in Angola, Ind. was won by Saint Mary's at 679 strokes. Hope ended at 693 followed by Albion 722, Calvin 804, Olivet 815, Kalamazoo 868 and Adrian 877.
While the seasonal champion is determined from the result of the championship tournament, the all-league honors are based on the scores from three jamboree and championship meet.
Alma sophomore Courtney Reheinhardt finished as conference medalist for the second consecutive year averaging 81.2 strokes a round.
Hope senior Emily Colenbrander achieved All-MIAA first team honors by finishing third in the seasonal standings at 82.6. Teammates Sarah Scholten, a junior, and Brittany Philo, a freshman, gained All-MIAA second team recognition finishing seventh (87.2) and ninth (88.6) respectively in the standings.
The honor was especially meaningful for Colenbrander whose older sister Ellen was also an All-MIAA first teamer at Hope from 1996-99.
