Honors for outstanding performance in cross country this fall have been announced by coach Mark Northuis.
Women's Cross Country
Two seniors, Kristen Post of Holland, Mich. (West Ottawa HS) and Kathryn Veldman of
Three Oaks, Mich. (River Valley HS), share the most valuable runner honor.
The most improved runner award is also being shared by junior Veronica Farley of Ann Arbor, Mich. (Pioneer HS) and senior Leticia Grandia of Rockford, Mich. (Rockford HS). Selected as the best newcomer was freshman Christian Alcenius of Horton, Mich. (Hanover Horton HS).
Men's Cross Country
Junior Peter Derby of Cadillac, Mich. (Cadillac HS) was selected the team's most valuable runner while senior Joe Phillips of Kalamazoo (Portage Central HS) was named the most improved. Selected as the best newcomer was freshman Tyson Warner of Portage, Mich. (Portage Northern HS).
