Hope Summer Repertory Theatre (HSRT) opens another great year of theatre with the legendary Broadway musical, "Guys and Dolls" at 8 p.m. on June 13 at the DeWitt theatre.

"Guys and Dolls" runs in rotation from June 13 to August 1, and features hit songs like "Luck Be A Lady," and "Sit Down, Your're Rockin' the Boat."

But Miss Sarah Brown is a Sergeant in the Save-A-Soul Mission, and winning her over is a harder task than Masterson expects. In other words, the stage is set for all the hilarious complications of love.

A dream cast has been put together for this opening show, including five Equity Guest Artists.HSRT welcomes back comedy genius Dana Synder as Nathan Detroit. Snyder's roles in "The Mystery of Irma Vep," "Rumors," and "Charley's Aunt" have created a strong following. Other Equity Guest Artists include Chip DuFord, David Colacci, and Mark Goetzinger.

Appearing in his first HSRT production, Equity Guest Artist Andrew Fullerton plays Sky Masterson, joined by another premiere talent, Christine Patterson as Sarah Brown. Cat Maddox ("Charley's Aunt," "Honk") returns for her second season as Nathan Detroit's fiancé of 14 years, Adelaide. Director Roger DeLaurier ("Charley's Aunt") returns to HSRT for his second season.

"Guys and Dolls" is based on a story by Damon Runyon, and features the music and lyrics of Frank Loesser. Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows wrote the book for the musical.

"Guys and Dolls" runs on June 13, 14, 17-19, 23, 25, July 1, 3, 8, 10, 16, 19, 22, 24, 29, and August 1. All shows are at 8 p.m. In addition, there is a 2 p.m. matinee on July 29.
