While it didn't figure into the statistics, senior Brian Fielhauer made one of the biggest plays of the day in football on Saturday.
At halftime, he proposed marriage to childhood sweetheart Sharon Bock. While the rest of the team was hustling back to the lockerroom, Fielhauer sought out Bock in the stands, brought her on to the field where he kneeled and asked her to marry him amidst an encouraging stadium throng.
Meanwhile, the stadium scoreboard flashed the question, "Sharon, will you marry me?". He gave her a ring and a bouquet of roses, then hustled off to the lockerroom for the halftime talk.
There were two winners Saturday -- the Flying Dutchmen defeated the DePauw Tigers and Brian Fielhauer got his bride.
