All-conference honors in cross country have been presented to 10 Hope College athletes.

The recognition from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is based on performance in the league jamboree and championship meet.

Senior Peter Derby of Cadillac, Mich. (Cadillac HS) has achieved All-MIAA first team recognition. He finished 10th at the MIAA championships. Derby has also been named to the Division III All-Region team.

Hope runners named to the All-MIAA men's second team are freshman Ryan TerLouw of Pella, Iowa (Pella HS), sophomore Tyson Warner of Portage, Mich. (Portage Northern HS), and sophomore Kyle Williams of Plainwell, Mich. (Plainwell HS).

Junior Tina Pike of Rochester, Minn. (Century HS) achieved All-MIAA first team honors in women's cross country for the second time. She finished sixth at the MIAA championships and was also named to the Division III All-Region team.

Five runners were named to the All-MIAA women's second team -- freshman Ashley Dean of Cadillac, Mich. (Cadillac HS), senior Martha Graham of Midland, Mich. (Midland HS), freshman Monique Hoyle of Delton, Mich. (Delton-Kellogg HS), freshman Alison Mejeur of St. Joseph, Mich. (SDt. Joseph HS), and freshman Leslie Tableman of Lansing, Mich. (Eastern HS).

Both Hope cross country teams finished third in their respective conference standings. At the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional, the men finished seventh while the women tied for ninth place.
