The Hope College Symphony Orchestra will perform on Friday, April 16, at 7:30 p.m. at First United Methodist Church.
The public is invited. Admission is free.
The program will include works of Aaron Copland, Leonard Bernstein, Nikolay Rimsky-Korsakov and Massenet.
The program will open with three episodes from the "Rodeo" suite of Aaron Copland titled, "Corral Nocturne," "Saturday Night Waltz," and "Hoe-Down".
Senior Paul Wesselink of Grand Rapids, trombone, will perform the "Concerto in B flat for Trombone and Orchestra," by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov.
The symphony will then perform the "Le Cid Ballet" suite of Jules Massenet and close the concert with the famous "West Side Story" selections by Leonard Bernstein.
First United Methodist Church is located at 57 W. 10th St.
