Numerous Hope fraternity members are involved with the "Heal with Teal" 5K Run/Walk taking place on Saturday, April 22, starting at 1 p.m. The event has been scheduled in conjunction with Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Hope fraternity members have worked with the Center for Women in Transition to help organize the event and will be among the volunteers working at the registration table and along the race route. The students' involvement is an outgrowth of the multi-fraternity "Greek men take a stand," through which more than 120 male students have committed themselves to combating sexual violence. Many members of the fraternities and sororities at the college are also anticipated as participants in the run/walk itself.

The run/walk is open to the general public, and members of the campus community are invited to participate. Registration, which is free, will take place on Saturday, April 22, beginning at 12:30 p.m. at Centennial Park, located between River and Central avenues and 10th and 12th streets.
