Hope Summer Repertory Theatre's popular Children's Performance Troupe (CPT) has added a showing of "Miss Nelson is Missing" at 10:30 a.m. on Aug. 8.

Both CPT shows are selling out quickly, and tickets are already selling for the added performance.

The popular children's book comes to life in this stage production. The kids in Room 207 are the worst kids in school. Their frazzled teacher, Miss Nelson, just can't get them to behave. One day, Miss Nelson doesn't come to school. The students' happiness quickly turns to dread when they discover their substitute teacher will be the most feared substitute teacher in the world, MissViolaSwamp! Buried with homework and no more story time, the students soon realize how much they miss Miss Nelson and set out on a quest to find her. The children discover that it was their own behavior that drove her away and set about to make things right. Will Miss Nelson come back?

CPT's other show is "The Rude Mechanicals," which has just a few shows left on at 10:30 a.m. on August 4 and 9, and 1:30 p.m. on August 7 and 11. "The rude mechanicals," a group of down-on-their-luck craftsmen, compete for a prize the Duke is offering to produce a play to be performed in honor of his wedding. The rude mechanicals jump at the chance to recoup their failing fortunes, but when the mischievous fairy Puck gets involved, their plan goes awry. Based on a "A Midsummer Night's Dream," this play-within-a-play is a wonderful introduction to the world of Shakespeare.
