A fundraiser for Hope students going to Mexico will be held at the Crossroads Church on Sunday, April 22, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.

The public is invited and donations are all that is being asked for the food and fellowship. The suggested donations are $5 for a single person and $10 for a family.

Nine Hope College students are going to Mexico this coming May and June through Hope College's Hope Blooms Program, led by Dr. Robin Klay, professor of economics and management. The program is based in Puerto Escondido in Oaxaca province.

The students will build Habitat for Humanity homes for the first week. The following weeks the Hope students will be teaching youth and adults in the community. Some subjects they will be teaching include mathematics, English, computer skills, psychology and health dynamics.

The money raised will go towards room and board for the Hope students. The students will be living with Habitat families to better their experience and immersion in the culture.

Crossroads Church is located at 287 Lincoln Ave., on the corner of Lincoln and 12th Street.
