Members of the Hope College volleyball team will travel to Brazil in August to prepare for their 2007 season.

It will be the second international experience for the Flying Dutch.  The volleyball team traveled to Switzerland in 2003.

Two other Hope teams, men's golf and baseball, will also have international excperiences this summer.  The men's golf team will travel to Scotland (July 27-August 6) while the baseball team will compete in a tournament in Prague, The Czech Republic (June 26-July 2).

The Flying Dutch will be playing four matches against competitive club teams in Rio.  There will also be a number of training opportunities with Brazlian coaches as well as team-building activities such as rafting and hiking excursions.

The international roster will be comprised of players from the 2006 varsity and jayvee teams.  By NCAA rule, players new to the 2007 team may not participate.

Several other Hope athletic teams have made international trips over the years, including men's and women's basketball, football, men's soccer and softball.
