From Christmas to Bean Day, Americans love their holidays. So celebrate the well-known and the unusual holidays together when Hope Summer Repertory Theatre (HSRT) opens "Happy Holidaze!" on a holiday weekend, July 1 at 8:30 p.m. at the historic Park Theatre near downtown Holland.

HSRT Musical Director Fred Tessler has created another fun romp through songs you love, and will come to love, with "Happy Holidaze!" You will celebrate a whole year of holidays, from New Year's Eve to Christmas, in one fast-paced evening.

Sure, most people have never heard of "National Blame Someone Else Day," but it is a holiday and HSRT is ready to celebrate. Like your holidays a little more traditional? Valentines, Thanksgiving, and other more common holidays make the cabaret as well.

Plus, Alpine Rose restaurant is catering the event so patrons have the option of purchasing food and beverages while enjoying the show.

In addition to Tessler's work as creator/director, the show also features the choreography of Barbara Brandt and the vocal and acting talents of Lisa Warmus, David Earl White, Jason Miller, Kevin Milnes, and Giorgia Cifani.

After the July 1 opening, "Happy Holidaze" will show at 8:30 p.m. on July 2, 6, 8, 12, 16, 20, 28, August 2, 4, and 6.

While at the ticket office, be sure to reserve tickets for the other great HSRT mainstage shows, including the family show, "Seussical the Musical," the Alan Ayckbourn comedy, "Bedroom Farce" the musical "Spitfire Grill, and a modern interpretation of Moliere's "Scapin." HSRT's "second stage" show is the comedy-drama, "Drawer Boy," while the Children's Performance Troupe is presenting Jon Scieszka's "The True Stories of the Three Pigs and The Frog Prince (cont'd)" and Dennis Foon's "The Short Tree and the Bird Who Could Not Sing.

Tickets for the cabaret are $22 . The ticket office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, and noon to 5 p.m. Saturdays. On performance dates, the ticket office will be open through intermission. The ticket office is located in DeWittCulturalCenter at 12th Street and Columbia Avenue.
