Seven Hope athletic teams have been presented the 2006-07 Team GPA Award by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association.

The award is presented to conference teams who achieved a 3.300 or better grade point average during the entire academic year.

This program, now in its ninth year, is administered by the Faculty Athletic Representatives of the MIAA member colleges.

The women's cross country team (3.546 gpa), coached by Mark Northuis, has received the honor for the ninth consecutive year.

The men's golf team, coached by Robert Ebels, had the highest GPA (3.566) among all
MIAA men's teams and the third highest among all teams (women and women).

Other teams honored include women's track's, 3.515 (coached by Kevin Cole); women's golf, 3.506 (coached by Eva Dean Folkert); women's soccer, 3.476 (coached by Leigh Sears); softball, 3.434 (coached by Karla Wolters); and men's tennis, 3.351 (coached by Steve Gorno).
