Hope Summer Repertory Theatre continues its 37th season with the Till Midnight Cabaret, "Closer Than Ever" by Richard Maltby Jr. and David Shire, opening July 5th at 8:30 pm at the Till Midnight Restaurant located in the Baker Lofts development. 

Follow the story of six characters as they use song to weave intimate stories about their lives while they struggle in a world that pulls them in a million different directions.  Love, happiness, heartbreak, working couples, aging, and midlife crisis are all topics in this emotional rollercoaster of music. 

This show stopper features Matt Ban, who is also one of the Gangsters in "Kiss Me Kate," Naomi Hummel, Lauretta Pope, also playing Kate in "Kiss Me Kate," Noah Weintraub, Robert Thompson Jr., playing Lucentio/Bill Calhoun in "Kiss Me Kate," and Catherine Yudain.

Fred Tessler once again directs this year's cabaret.  This sentimental yet satirical cabaret will feature hits such as "Back on Base," "If I Sing," "Life Story," and "Miss Byrd."

If you love good stories and a fun and relaxing atmosphere where you can purchase cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, then this is the show for you!  The show will be performed at 8:30 pm on July 5, 9, 16, 22, 24, 29, 31.

Tickets have already gone on sale at both the DeVos Fieldhouse and the DeWitt Theatre Ticket Office.  Tickets for "Closer Than Ever" are $24 for general admission. 

The ticket office is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. Beginning June 14 the ticket office is open on Saturday's at noon. On performance dates, the DeWitt Ticket Office will be open through intermission.  The ticket office is located in the DeWitt Cultural Center at 12th Street and Columbia Avenue.
