For the eighth consecutive year, the Hope College club ice hockey team is headed to the Division III national tournament of the American Collegiate Hockey Association.

The Flying Dutchmen will be the top-seeded team from the North region when the 16-team nationals are held in Rochester, N.Y. from March 4-7.

The Flying Dutchmen, coached by Chris Van Timmeren, have a 17-6-0-1 record heading into the Michigan Collegiate Hockey Conference tournament to be held Feb. 19-21.

The team first qualified for the national tournament in 2002, finishing fifth. Their best finish was second place in 2003.  A year ago the Flying Dutchmen were fifth.
