dANCEpROjECt will present its fall concert on Thursday-Saturday, October 29-31, at 8 p.m. at the Knickerbocker Theatre in downtown Holland.

The first half of the program, titled "Suite Trick or Treat," will feature works infused with the Halloween holiday spirit.  "Helix" features a landscape of moving forms encased in cocoons of stretch fabric.  "Unet" explores shape and symmetry in a restricted and isolated space.  "Windmills and Wind Up Toys," choreographed by company member Katherine Moore, presents a quartet of mechanical circus-like performers.  "Darkness" is a solo with intense and sinister overtones.  "Sideshow" is a color-drenched spectacle of fun and animation.

The second half of the program will feature two premieres.  "Desde El Jardin" ("From the Garden") is a duet created especially for guest artists Alicia Diaz and Matthew Thornton, who are artistic directors of AguaDulce, and was first performed by them last year at the Museo Municipal in Queretaro, Mexico.  "La Orilla" (The Shore") has been adapted from its original duet form into an ensemble piece for the company by Diaz and Thornton, who were the piece's original choreographers and performers.

This year will also feature a costume sale in the lobby. Costumes no longer needed or used by the company will be ready to find new homes or participate in Halloween festivities, and profits from the sale will help fund future productions or help defray the cost of new costumes.

Tickets are $7 for regular admission, $5 students and senior citizens, and free for children under 12. Tickets can be obtained in advance at the ticket office in the main lobby of the college's DeVos Fieldhouse. The ticket office is open weekdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and can be called at (616) 395-7890.  Tickets will also be sold on performance nights at the door, which opens at 7:30 p.m.

The DeVos Fieldhouse is located at 222 Fairbanks Ave., between Ninth and 11th streets.  The Knickerbocker Theatre is located at 86 E. Eighth St.
