Hope tops the Commissioner's Cup standings of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) after the fall sports season. The standings are determined by the cumulative finish in the 18 MIAA-sponsored sports.

Hope tops the Commissioner's Cup standings of the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) after the fall sports season. The standings are determined by the cumulative finish in the 18 MIAA-sponsored sports.

There are eight sports in the fall season. Hope won conference championships in men's golf and volleyball. Finishing in second place in their standings were men's and women's cross country and men's soccer. Other finishes were women's golf, third; football, tied for fourth; and women's soccer, tied for fifth.

Hope captured the 2008-09 Commissioner's Cup and has won honor a league-record 31 times since the award was instituted in 1934-35.
