In addition to the individual recognition, the entire team has been presented the ITA All-Academic Team award. Just 37 of the more than 400 Division III men's tennis programs received the recognition.

Hope players honored include John Gardner of Granville, Ohio (Granville HS), Kevin Hagan of Okemos (Okemos HS), Alex Hughes of Hudson, Ohio (Hudson HS), Kyle Kreps of Holland (Holland HS), Jon Lautz of Wheaton, Ill. (Wheaton North HS), Kyle McKey of Stevensville (Lakeshore HS), Daniel Owens of Rocky River, Ohio (Rocky River HS), and Davis Vanderveen of Clarkston (Clarkston HS).

The team honor was presented teams with a cumulative grade point average of 3.20 or above while the individual recognition was afford players with a GPA of at least 3.50.

The Flying Dutchmen, coached by Steve Gorno, also received the Team GPA Award from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) for maintaining a cumulative 3.455 grade point average during the 2009-10 academic year.
