Artwork by graduating studio art majors at Hope College will be featured in the exhibition "Inhabit" in the gallery of the De Pree Art Center from Friday, April 8, through Sunday, May 8.
There will be an opening reception on Friday, April 8, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. In addition, two senior art history majors will present their art history papers on Thursday, April 28, at 5 p.m. in Cook Auditorium of the De Pree Art Center.
The public is invited to the exhibition, opening and reading. Admission is free.
The graduating senior studio art majors with work in the exhibition are Amy Devrou of Hopkins; Jessica Early of Vestal, N.Y.; Kellee Kortas of Memphis; Betsy Melchers of Algonquin, Ill.; Emily Otto of Holland; Katie Schewe of Holland and formerly of Berkley; Leah Schreiber of Fayetteville, N.Y.; Jilli Schuler of Albion; Sammy Shank of Oak Forest, Ill.; and Chelsea Tarnas of West Bloomfield.
The graduating senior art history majors who will be presenting their papers on April 27 are Rebecca Bethard of Mattawan and Nicole Buccella of Rockford.
The De Pree Art Center is located at 160 E. 12th St., on Columbia Avenue at 12th Street. The gallery is open Mondays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. and Sundays from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m., although the hours may be reduced during breaks and holidays. The gallery is handicapped accessible.
