Hope College's three smallest choirs will perform on Monday, April 18, at 7:30 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church.

The Women's Chamber Choir, directed by Jennifer Wolfe, will be joined by the popular close-harmony groups 12th Street Harmony and Luminescence.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The Women's Chamber Choir will present selections in two groups.  The first, a sacred set, will include a classical Psalm setting, the spiritual "Deep River," an Israeli duet and a setting of e.e. cummings' poem "I Thank You God," featuring accompanist Lannette Zylman-TenHave.  In the second group, the choir will sing a "joropo" from the Venezuelan high plains, and a pair of "Nightsongs," by Canadian composer Imant Raminsh.  The choir will finish with its traditional closing number "Blessing."

Luminescence (women) and 12th Street Harmony (men) sing a wide range of repertoire, from folk arrangements to barbershop to current hits to standard choral literature. Both of the choirs receive invitations for appearances beyond their Hope concert performances, and 12th Street Harmony was selected this year to attend the International Championship of Collegiate A cappella (ICCA).

St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church is located at 195 W. 13th St., on the corner of 13th Street and Maple Avenue.
