The Hope College "Sundays at 2" recital series will feature pianist Ryan Fogg on Sunday, Sept. 11, at 2 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

"Ryan Fogg is an outstanding artist and will be playing some of the great masterworks of the piano repertoire," said Adam Clark, assistant professor of music. "Maurice Ravel's complete 'Miroirs,' which includes the devilishly difficult 'Alborada del gracioso,' will be presented, along with Franz Schubert's powerful "Sonata in C minor, D. 958." As a tribute to the 200th Anniversary of the birth of Franz Liszt, he will also be performing the very fiery 'Mephisto Waltz No. 1.'"

Fogg is associate professor of music and director of keyboard studies at Carson-NewmanCollege in Jefferson City, Tenn.  A native Texan, he holds degrees in piano performance from the University of Texas at Austin (D.M.A.), the University of Houston (M.M.), and East Texas BaptistUniversity (B.M., with distinction).  Fogg maintains an active performing schedule, presenting solo recitals regularly throughout the United States.  In addition, he has collaborated with the Blair String Quartet and has appeared as concerto soloist with the Knoxville Wind Symphony.  His debut CD of New American Piano Music, titled "The Fogg Project," was recently released by Albany Records.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
