Multiple student singers will perform during a Vocal Jazz Workshop Concert at Hope College on Tuesday, Nov. 22, at 7:30 p.m. in Wichers Auditorium of Nykerk Hall of Music.    

The public is invited. Admission is free.    

The program will include "Summertime," by George and Ira Gerswhin, featuring all the singers; "Our Love Is Here to Stay," by George and Ira Gershwin, sung by sophomore Meghan Stagl of Deerfield, Ill.; "Wave," by Antonio Carlos Jobim, sung by senior Erin VanDellen of Lake Orion; "Night and Day," by Cole Porter, sung by senior Robert Phillips of Minneapolis, Minn.; "Bye Bye Blackbird," by Ray Henderson/Mort Dixon, sung by senior Jessalyn Bolkema of Libertyville, Ill.; "I Can't Give You Anything But Love," by Jimmy McHugh/Doretha Fields, sung by Nancy Nicodemus, a special student from Holland who is a retired member of the English faculty; "My Funny Valentine," by Richard Rodgers/ Lorenz Hart, sung by junior Vida Wilson of Grand Rapids; "East of the Sun," by Brooks Bowman, sung by senior Kirsten Peterson of Sunnyvale, Calif.; "Paper Moon," by Harold Arlen/ E. Y. Harburg/ Billy Rose, sung by junior Alexandria Brennan of Harper Woods; "Embraceable You," by George and Ira Gershwin, sung by senior Elizabeth Dwyer of Ypsilanti; and "Spirit in the Dark," by Aretha Franklin, sung by senior Lauren Schira of Portage.    

Faculty member Edye Evans Hyde, instructor of vocal jazz, is the vocal coach.    

Nykerk Hall of Music is located in the central Hope campus at the former 127 E. 12th Street between College and Columbia avenues.
