The second annual Hope College HOPEYs award ceremony will be held Monday, April 16, beginning at 7 p.m. at DeVos Fieldhouse.

The HOPEYs are an opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of Hope's student-athletes and athletic teams as well as recognize the seniors from the class of 2012.

The recipients are determined in a vote of student-athletes based on nominations in the following categories: Exceptional Game, Exceptional Performance in an Individual Event, Outstanding Team, Male Athlete of the Year, Female Athlete of the Year, MIAA Championship Performance, Newcomer of the Year, Best Clutch Performance, Best Breakthrough Athlete, Best Breakthrough Team, Best Record-Breaking Performance, Role Player of the Year and the Karen Page Courage Award.

Hope alumni H-Club blankets will presented to 68 seniors for their participation in the intercollegiate program.

The public is invited. A five dollar admission fee will be asked with proceeds going to the Hope College Cancer Research Fund which provides stipends to students doing collaborative cancer research at the college and Van Andel Institute in Grand Rapids.
