Athletics
As a member of the MIAA and NCAA Division III associations, Hope College sponsors 22 varsity sports for men and women. The college is home to the 2022 NCAA Division III National Championship women’s basketball team.

The Hope College Concert Band will perform on Thursday, April 12, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The group, which is made up of Hope students and area community members, will be playing a wide range of works. Some of the pieces on the program will be Peter Mennin’s “Canzona,” Mark Camphouse’s “Three London Miniatures,” Frank Ticheli’s “Shenandoah” and W. Francis McBeth’s “Of Sailors and Whales.”

The band is led by faculty member Gabe Southard, but the concert will also showcase two Hope music-education students, senior Michael Naughton of Prospect Heights, Ill., and junior Jessica Wells of Indian Creek, Ill.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
