The Hope College Orchestra will perform on Friday, April 20, at 7:30 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The concert will open with the orchestra performing “Capriccio Espagnol, Op. 34,” by Nicolai Rimsky-Korsakov. To continue the program, the Symphonette Strings will perform the “Concerto Grosso for String Orchestra and Piano Obligato,” by Ernest Bloch. To close the program, Linda Dykstra, soprano, who is on the Hope music faculty, will solo with the orchestra in the “Symphony No. 3 (Symphony of sorrowful songs),” by Henryk Gorecki.

The Hope College Orchestra is directed by Richard Piippo, associate professor of music.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
