The annual Hope College Vespers program is broadcast by television and radio stations across the country.
Christmas Vespers was first held on Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941. The timing was fateful--the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor only hours before, precipitating the entry of the United States into World War II. Vespers has since become a community tradition to begin the season of Advent.
The 2012 services were held Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 1-2. Participating groups included the College Chorus, Chapel Choir, and Symphonette, as well as organists and instrumental ensembles.
Here is a summary of stations which have indicated they will be broadcasting Vespers. The telecast is from the 2011 Vespers while the audiocast is from 2012. Please consult the station to determine their broadcast date and time.
If there is a radio station in your area who you feel would be interested in the program, please email us (trenner@hope.edu) with contact information (station name, contact name, phone/email information).
