The Hope College Orchestra will present a concert on Thursday, Oct. 3, at 8 p.m. in Dimnent Memorial Chapel.

The public is invited. Admission is free.

The orchestra will perform works by Gioacchino Rossini, Johann Sebastian Bach and Alexander Borodin.

The program will open with the popular “Overture to William Tell,” by Gioacchino Rossini, which highlights the cello, flute and English horn, in addition to trumpets. The next work on the program, the “Brandenburg Concerto No. 3,” by Bach, which is also a familiar piece to the classical audience, will feature the strings. To close the program the orchestra will perform the “Polovetsian Dances” from the suite “Prince Igor,” by Alexander Borodin.

Dimnent Memorial Chapel is located at 277 College Ave., on College Avenue at 12th Street.
