Hope College is in 12th place after the first set of fall NCAA Division III Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup standings.

Hope has 151 points after four NCAA Division III championship events this fall: women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s cross country, and field hockey.

Hope earned 100 points for winning the women’s volleyball national title and 51 for a 23rd-place finish at the women’s cross country championships.

Washington University in St. Louis leads 126 teams who scored with 224 points.

The Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup was developed as a joint effort between the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) and USA Today. Points are awarded based on each institution's finish in up to 18 sports -- nine women’s and nine men’s.

The next Division III fall standings will be released Thursday, December 11.
