Hope College’s Abigail Meder has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Golfer of the Week.
The sophomore from Lansing, Michigan (Catholic Central HS) is honored by the MIAA
for the first time after averaging 7-over-par over 36 holes of tournament play last
week.
Meder averaged 75.5 during the first MIAA Jamboree of the season and the Hope Invitational
on Saturday.
Meder carded a 2-over 74 at The Medalist Golf Club in Marshall, Michigan on Wednesday
to finish first among the field. She helped the Flying Dutch take second place at
the nine-team event.
On Saturday, Meder carded a 5-over 77 to earn medalist honors at The Ravines Golf
Club in Saugatuck, Michigan. She sparked the Flying Dutch to a first-place finish
in the four-team event.
