Hope College’s Daniel Keith and Grant Williams have been recognized for their performances in the pool last week during a meet against Olivet College.

Daniel KeithKeith is the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Men’s Swimmer of the Week, while Williams is the MIAA Diver of the Week.

Keith touched the wall first in each of his four races against Olivet.

The sophomore from Saline, Michigan (Saline HS) recorded a season-best performance in the 100-yard freestyle of 47.72 seconds that is the third-best performance in the MIAA this season. He also won the 200 freestyle.

Keith won the 200 freestyle in 1:50.67.

He swam the 200 individual medley for the first time and clocked a time of 1:58.60 that is the third fastest in the MIAA this season.

Grant WilliamsAfter the event, Keith immediately competed in the 200 freestyle relay helped the Flying Dutchmen post a time of 1:33.34.

Williams posted another regional qualifying score on the boards this weekend.

The sophomore from Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids) won the 1-meter board with a score of 275.80.

Williams also had a runner-up finish in the three-meter diving with a total of 273.15.
