Hope College’s Amanda Bandrowski has been named the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Tennis Player of the Week for matches played March 19-25.
The sophomore from Traverse City, Michigan (St. Francis HS) is honored for the first
time this season and the second time in her career.
Bandrowski won both of her No. 1 singles matches and her No. 1 doubles matches last
week in Orlando, Florida.
Bandrowski defeated Babson’s Alexa Tutecky 5-7, 6-3, 10-7 on March 21 and Hamline’s
Ali Kopiecki 6-0, 6-4 on March 20.
In doubles play, Bandrowski paired with freshman Bailey Chorney of Waunakee, Wisconsin
(Waunakee) for a 9-8 (4) victory against Babson’s Claire Foster and Kylie Kam.
Bandrowski and Chorney topped Hamline’s Natalie Pieterck and Ella Seehafer 8-1.
