The Hope College baseball team will be the No. 3 seed for this week’s Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Tournament.

The Flying Dutchmen open the double-elimination tournament with a 3 p.m., nine-inning game on Wednesday, May 9 at second-seeded Alma.

The remainder of the MIAA Tournament will be played at top-seeded Adrian on Thursday-Friday, May 10-11. Adrian hosts fourth-seeded Calvin on Wednesday, May 9 at 3 p.m.

Hope tied for fourth place in the MIAA standings with Calvin as both posted 14-14 league records. The Flying Dutchmen earned the higher seed on a tiebreaker because of their two victories against Adrian this season to Calvin’s one.

Under the direction of head coach Stu Fritz, Hope has qualified for the MIAA Tournament every year since it started in 2012.
