Hope College’s Taylor LaBarge has been chosen Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Women’s Tennis Player of the Week.
The junior from Hudsonville, Michigan (Hudsonville) went unbeaten last week and helped
the Flying Dutch claim at least a share of the regular-season championship and clinch
the top seed in next week’s MIAA Tournament.
LaBarge posted a 2-0 record at No. 3 singles and No. 1 doubles against Albion and
Saint Mary’s.
She was a 6-0, 6-0 winner in singles against Albion April 17 while adding 8-1 doubles
win
In 8-1 team win over Saint Mary's Saturday, she went 8-3 for No. 1 doubles win followed by 6-1, 6-3 singles victory.
This is the first MIAA weekly honor for LaBarge.
