Four Hope College women’s lacrosse players have earned All-Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association Second Team honors for the 2018 season from the league’s coaches.

Representing the Flying Dutch are senior Emily Deane of Rochester Hills, Michigan (Rochester Adams HS), junior Bailey Berberich of Clarendon Hills, Illinois (Hinsdale Central), freshman Madison Micho of Grand Rapids, Michigan (East Grand Rapids), and Carly Pieri of Alto, Michigan (Caledonia).

Deane, an attacker, led Hope with 27 points and nine assists in MIAA regular-season matches. She tied for the team-lead with 18 goals against league opponents.

Berberich, a defender, topped the Flying Dutch with 25 ground balls against MIAA foes. She also caused nine turnovers.

Micho, a midfielder, recorded a Hope-best 37 draw controls in MIAA play. She also registered 11 goals and three assists vs. league opponents.

Pieri, an attacker, tied for third on the Flying Dutch with 16 goals against MIAA foes. She also totaled four assists in league matches.
