Three Hope College women’s soccer players have received all-region honors from the United Soccer Coaches organization.
Senior Megan Bigelow of Flushing, Michigan (Flushing HS) is joined in representing
the FLying Dutch by juniors Corinne Cole of St. Paul, Minnesota (Eastview) and Maria
Egloff of Kalamazoo, Michigan (Loy Norrix).
Bigelow, a midfielder, and Cole, a defender, made the All-Central Region Second Team.
Egloff, a midfielder, was a third-team selection.
All three helped Hope finish runner-up in the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association
standings and with a 6-5-6 overall.
Bigelow and Egloff patrolled the middle of the field and contributed offensively and
defensively. Bigelow scored twice. Egloff registered one assist.
Cole played primarily on defense but also saw time at forward. She registered a career-high
two assists along with one goal.
Bigelow and Egloff were All-MIAA First Team honorees. Cole made the All-MIAA Second
Team.
